İNEGÖL HOCAKÖY DAM

PROJECT LOCATION AND PURPOSE
The Hocaköy Dam is located in the southeast of Bursa province, in the Sakarya Basin, at the headwaters of the Göksu River, approximately 5 km south of İnegöl district, on the Aliağa stream, and in the gorge south of Hocaköy, between the Dorukbağlar and Ağaç ridges, at an elevation of approximately 363.50 m on the thalweg. The Ankara-Bursa dual carriageway passes 6 km north of the dam site. The dam site is accessible from the İnegöl district center via a 5 km asphalt road.
The dam axis is on the Aliağa stream, a tributary of the Göksu (Kocasu) River, and is of the rockfill type with a clay core, with a height of 94.00 m from the thalweg and a height of 100.00 m from the foundation. The Hocaköy Dam will meet the drinking and utility water needs of İnegöl district in Bursa province with 28.38 hm3/year.
